Direction Donations Appreciated
Earlier this month, SHCF recieved a $5,000 direct donation from Gary & Pamela Rasmussen! The Rasmussens' have supported SHCF in the past at our Oregon Jamboree Meet & Greet Events but this year our event was cancelled due to low ticket sales. (The Board did not want to chance losing money.)
Gary and Pamela still wanted to support SHCF and in our conversation with them we realized that many people may not know how to support SHCF other than through a public event like the Oregon Jamboree meet & greet.
SHCF can accept donations at any time. We also hold an annual fundraising campaign in the fall of each year were we mail out letters requesting funds from donors. The 2018 Fall Mailing Campaign will begin in October. There are also two local employers in town that offer payroll deduction for their employees that are interested in supporting SHCF, and we accept direct donations at anytime. Donations to SHCF are tax deductible due to our 501 (c) 3 non-profit status.
A newer options we have established is a "Leave a Local Legacy Fund" where donors can donate $20,000 or more (over a 4 year period) and have the money in a named fund designated for one of our specific areas of giving. Check out our "Leave a Local Legacy" page for more information and be sure to contact us if you have questions or would like to learn more about how to support your community through the Sweet Home Community Foundation.
